Symbolism in Tangled

Here we have our first promised deep post! I am currently watching Tangled (literally, right this second Rapunzel is welcoming her "Mother" home and trying to ask to go see the lanterns) and I decided to do a little digging as to what some of the images or ideas might represent. Color Imagery As with any movie, there are dozens of colors present throughout Tangled , so I selected the four that I thought were the most important. Purple: Rapunzel's dress is primarily purple, as is the background for the flag of Corona. Purple most commonly symbolizes royalty, but can also represent passion, faith, or mourning. Obviously, Rapunzel is the lost princess, so the royalty idea makes perfect sense for both her dress and the crest of the kingdom. Doctor Who Tenth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver Review

For Valentine's Day, I received the Tenth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver and I thought it would be a fun and unique item to review for my blog. It's not like anything I've reviewed before, so I'll do my best to show you the neat features this toy possesses and try to keep it within a similar structure to my doll reviews. :) I know I've been posting a whole lot of Doctor Who things lately and I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. The Sonic Screwdriver arrives in large, clear plastic packaging with some raised up designs, such as the Doctor Who title. The screwdriver doubles as a pen, which we'll look into later. The package is marked for ages 5 and up. Disney Store Rapunzel Deluxe Feature Doll Review

Hello, everybody! I'm back with a new doll review! This doll can be purchased here if you feel the need to add her to your collection. As always, this is my own opinion and Disney has no idea that I am reviewing this doll. Rapunzel arrived in a large, decorated, fancy box. My mother's Maximus came over to investigate, but then left before I could use him in a size comparison later. The box is purple with lots of gold detailing, like Pascal... ... and this bird. The purple is actually patterned, too, with the bird, the sun, and a few other designs from the film. The side of the box has a large cameo of Rapunzel on it. The other side of the box is clear plastic so you can see her. There are several other designs, like her name on a scroll... ... and a Disney Store insignia. She also has a little "try me" button.
