Travelling in Time and Space

Back in the 1960's, Doctor Who used a lot of scale models. Now they mostly use CGI, although some models are still created. I know they used a scale model for the destruction of Big Ben in a 2005 episode, for example.

I thought it would be fun to experiment with that idea and a small, appx 4 inch tall TARDIS figure I have. Which picture do you think is the most convincing?

Have a good weekend, everybody!

  1. I think nr. 5 is the most convincing for me at least. All of them are beautiful!
And we are getting spoiled with so many posts! But it's impossible to make too many posts! :D

    1. 5 is my favorite, too! Thank you! I found a bunch of posts in drafts and after several months of minimal posting, I'm trying to give everybody new content every day for as long as I can. :)

  2. Personally, I really like the second photo. For some reason it reminds me of the old days of Doctor Who, when rock quarries substituted for alien planets. The rocks in the other photos seem somewhat out of scale to me. But then real rock quarries, and presumably alien planets, do have some really big rocks.

    1. The rocks make me think of a First Doctor episide... I think it's called Planet of the Zarbe? They seem to spend a lot of time with rock quarries, yes!
