Rose Tyler: The Idiot's Lantern Costume Tutorial: The Wire Purse

When I was looking for resources to make my Rose Tyler cosplay, the above link was one of the tutorials that I found. I really liked her idea of taking a Vandor TV lunch box from eBay and making it into the Wire, so I bought a lunch box and printed a picture of the Wire.

I cut out the wire, making sure it was the right size and shape to cover the picture of Elvis.

I painted a layer of Mod Podge onto Elvis, and another layer on the Wire's wrong side.

I then carefully smoothed the Wire onto the screen. Unfortunately, it wrinkled a  bit because of the curved nature of the screen.

Maybe the wrinkles are just the lightening-like face remover beam things she uses?

After sticking down the Wire, I brushed another layer of Mod Podge on top of the picture.

After drying, and now finished:
