My Most Recent Disney Store Trip

Hello there!! I went to the DS last weekend and came back with some fun things:

Elsa (now named Luna) was originally going to accompany Annie.

Instead, she and Ginny will be friends and will be in modern clothes.

It's also possible that they'll end up with Hogwarts robes. :)

Kristoff, AKA Scott, will be Emma's act of true love. As you can see, they were happy to be reunited.

This next pic is also a sneak peek of her new face!

Chip is completely adorable.

Ahh, the oh-so-addictive Tsum Tsums.

As for Sadness... well, hopefully I can get a review up before the end of the month. I have most of my pictures taken, but finals craziness starts soon and I make no promises. :}

  1. Ooo! I love the Sadness doll! Did you happen to see how tall the Joy doll is? I'm thinking about getting her. I wish I lived near a Disney Store! I only get to go once or twice a year when I have All State choir (because there's a big mall nearby with a Disney Store in it) or I go to visit friends who live near Downtown Disney. I live in hillbilly area, there's not even a Walmart for 30 miles. :P

    1. Thank you! I did see Joy. She's maybe 8 or 9 inches tall? Sadness is 7 and a half. I didn't like Joy's face very much- she looks a little demonic, like she's going to est your soul or something. Happiness versus being manic, I guess? That stinks! :( I live near enough to one that I'm able to go pretty often- it's really a blessing!

    2. Ah, I see. ☺ I may just stick with my original plan of getting some Inside Out Tsum Tsums. My Sleepy and Minnie need more Tsum Tsum friends! XD Yeah, when I went to All State this January, I spent all my mall time either eating or at the Disney Store. What stinks about All State is that we're almost aaaaalllllllllwwwwwwwaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyssssss in rehearsal, so there's not much time to explore the city. I went to the mall twice and to the movie theater once, and the rest of the time was rehearsing, sleeping, or eating. :/

    3. I'm hoping for a Joy Tsum Tsum... and maybe Disgust and Sadness, too. My Tsum Tsum family just keeps getting bigger, hahaha!!! Yes, Minnie and Sleepy need lots of new buddies. What movie did you see?

    4. I saw Into the Woods. It was fantastic! There's a theater nearby that national tours usually stop at nearby to where I go as well, I'm hoping that a tour will be coming through when I'm there! A tour of Wicked came through when I was in 8th grade, but I was sick and couldn't go. :(

    5. I saw that, too! I liked Anna Kendrick as Cinderella. I love her voice!! Aw, man! I've never seen Wicked but I want to. My friend read and ADORED the book- of course, I'd really want to see Idina in it XP or maybe Willemign Verkaik...

    6. Yikes, girl, don't EVER read the book! I haven't read it but several of my friends have and they say it's sketchier than Fifty Shades of Gray. YUCK.

    7. Wicked is so good! I went there about two years ago and it was so breathtaking! I think it;s touring again!
      Oh how cool! You're making Harry potter characters with your dolls? That's really cool! I love the Harry Potter books and movies. Will you be having a Hermione granger character for your dolls? (She's my favorite character!:)

    8. Anna G, My friend who did read it said that there was some not-so-PG content but that it was pretty minor and not super descriptive or anything... I don't know. I'm reading his Cinderella retelling right now and there hasn't been anything inappropriate in it so far. I'm just over half way through. If it turns to trashy, I won't be pursuing his work further, although he has a beautiful gift for describing a place or a person so well, you can see it/them right in front of you. I'll get more details from my friend before deciding to read Wicked, anyway- and I have a reading stack right now about a mile high, so it could take some time before I'd even get around to it!! :D Thanks for the tip, though. I'll be careful, I'm not exactly the kind of girl you'd see walking around with a Nicholas Sparks book. I prefer my cozy little Gail Carson Levine fairy tale retellings. :}

      DJwolf-Addy, I love the music! I've spent quite a few months with "Defying Gravity" flying around my head. (Pun intended.) As for HP, sort of- think more Disney Princesses cosplaying as Harry Potter characters. I won't be altering Ginny's or Luna's faces (though I will fix Ginny's hair.) I love the books to no end- it feels like every time you read them, some new layer of depth pops up! I haven't seen all the movies (it's one of my summer projects) but I like what I've seen, even if it isn't 100% book accurate. I saw part of the sixth and it wasn't wonderful to my book loving eyes (what is he even doing in the diner at the beginning?) but the first 5 were pretty well done. The effects are stunning. Hermione's my favorite, too, with Ginny and Luna tying for second. I don't plan to make her at this time, but I'll keep the idea in mind if I ever see a Belle doll floating around in need of a new home. My ideal Hermione is the Tonner doll of young Hermione- she's a very good likeness of the AMAZING Emma Watson (although her face is a bit too square.) She was pretty expensive new, though, and I have no idea what she resells for.

  2. Great finds! I love what I can see of Emmas face! Luna is a beautiful and elegant name, just right for an Elsa doll. Miss Lydia is getting jelaous, she wants a sister, too. :)

    I read that book that inspired Wicked and I didn't know what to think of it, when I finished it. (I wanted it because of the musical Wicked) It was... strange, for the lack of a better word.
    Maybe you could dress up them? Anna Cosplaying as Ginny?
    Or maybe a Live Action Belle doll will work as Hermione - I heard she's going to be Belle in the Live Action version and I'm sure there will be doll versions of her, just like with Cinderella.
    I wantd Disneystore to make this years Belle less angry looking. I got used to the anxious Belle face (I actually want a doll with that face) but those angry eyebrows she had for the last few years...

    1. Thank you! Emma is my favorite custom so far, no competition!

      I have heard that it is very odd. I just like seeing where movies/musicals came from.

      That's the plan! Anna and Elsa cosplaying as Ginny and Luna.

      Maybe... I know I want a LA Belle when the movie comes out. I simply adore Emma Watson and I know she'll be perfect! She is my celebrity dream cast for Belle!

      I know... all of the recent Belles look angry and unhappy. Maybe I'll get an old one at a thrift shop or something... I don't know yet.

    2. In the meantime, Disney made a new, improved Belle, so I think you do not have to depend on your luck finding a Belle doll you like :)

  3. Great haul! I love how you are making some HP dolls out of your Disney ones. : D

  4. Awesome haul! I went to the Disney Store a bit ago in hopes of getting a Disgust plush- but thought twice when I saw how many there were. I'm going to wait for a bit until they all go on sale like the sugar rush dolls! (I don't know if you saw me, but I was the girl who was screaming like a crazy person when I realized they were only a dollar apiece!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. Thank you! I hope they do go on sale! :) LOL, I didn't go to a Disney Store for a long time before this Summer (I know, crazy, but I only used the website) so I didn't see you, though I'm sure you were quite the spectacle! When we went this last time, "Making Today a Perfect Day" came on so I started singing along and dancing right in the middle of the store!!! It was fun, and nobody seemed to think it was weird which was great. Not that I would have cared if they did... I think everybody gets a little crazy in a Disney store or park. :D

  5. It is possible my Disney dolls will be sorted into Hogwarts houses, for example Belle in Ravenclaw, Anna in Hufflepuff, Hans in Slytherin and Ariel in Gryffindor. Heck i would have to build a Hogwarts! That would be so cool! ...Yeahhh i am a harry potter fan girl
    Also i am DYING to see Emma's full repaint. It looks cool!

      You'll have to wait for now... mwa hahahahaha!!! Actually, I just need to find her a wig or something, but that hasn't been going too well.

  6. Oh well you can always make her a wig. I have seen some fairly cool how to make a doll wig tutorials at youtube
