Meet Cute Monday Post One: Operetta Capulet

I'm starting a new series around here called "Meet Cute Monday." Basically, every Monday (or most Mondays, anyway) I'm going to introduce you to a member of my collection. I spend so much time obsessing over the new additions that I feel like we really need to appreciate the ones I've had for a while.

I've never read any of the Monster High books or watched any of the show. I have a few MH's in my collection because I love the creativity that goes into this line and their articulation. I know a little bit because of some of the diaries and a few ventures onto the website, but most of my dolls are not meant to perfectly be their characters. In fact, if you asked most of my character dolls if they're exactly like Belle or Mulan or whomever, they would probably be extremely offended.

Just keep that in mind. ;)

Meet... Operetta Capulet.

Operetta Scarlet Capulet is your average 15 year old theatre kid. She can be a bit of a drama queen, but that's just because to her, all the world's a stage.

She's the Skultimate Roller Maze Operetta that found at a thrift store in her original dress but without any other accessories.

It's not uncommon to find Operetta belting out "Defying Gravity" or "Tomorrow" or really any Broadway ballad that she feels fits the mood.

She'd do just about anything for a starring role... or a slice of red velvet cake.

Sometimes she can be a little bit difficult to get along with because she's so dramatic. She doesn't have any super close friends yet, but that's okay with her.

And that, in a nutshell, is Operetta.

Any questions? She and I will be happy to answer in comments!

  1. My favorite pic is the first one. Here's a question:
If she could act in any role, what would it be & why?

    1. Lady Macbeth, because she's such a "bizarre, interesting character and then I would get to go insane." Her words, not mine.
